Matthew Schallmo

Matthew Schallmo is our Worship Pastor who oversees all aspects of worship music on Sundays and throughout the week. His role is to help equip and build the worship teams, serve and under-row Pastor Dan’s vision for the ministry and shepherd the body through the lens of worship. 

From Matthew: “Holding the title of “Worship Pastor” comes with a lot of challenges. What the title tells me is that I need to shepherd the church in the area of worshipping God. What a challenge! We all worship … what God wants from us is to worship Him. It’s my job to help equip you to understand who you are in Christ and help you see the fulfillment and joy in singing praises to God throughout the week.

I’ve led worship since 2002 and have served in churches and ministries in Florida, Georgia, Virginia and in Syracuse, NY where I planted a church with my father. I graduated from Syracuse University Whitman School of Management with a degree in Emerging Enterprises and Entrepreneurship and received my Masters degree from Liberty Theological Seminary in Worship Studies (Church Planting Specialization). 

I married my beautiful bride, Kelly Schallmo on December 17th 2006. We have two children, Reagan (my little entrepreneur, born Nov. 2011) and Gracelyn (my tiny princess, born Feb. 2013). In my spare time I enjoy fishing, scuba diving, golfing, shooting, camping or working out (high intensity interval workouts). As a family we love trying new things and having as much adventure as possible.
